Bonus Terms

These rules cover every bonus, the welcome offer and Halifax Rewards perks at Halifax Casino. Read them before you opt in, because breaking them can cost you the bonus and what you won with it.

A. General rules

Bonus money sits apart from your cash balance. Real money deposits carry no wagering and stay withdrawable. Bonus funds turn into cash only once the wagering for that offer is complete.

Each offer lists its own figures. Where an offer says something different from this page, the offer decides for that promotion. Our Terms of Use also apply.

B. Maximum conversion

Certain offers put a ceiling on the bonus money you can convert to withdrawable cash. When there is a ceiling, you will find it in the offer conditions in your account, and any amount above it is removed after wagering is finished. C$500 is the most the welcome offer pays in bonus funds.

C. Bonus abuse and voiding

Bonuses exist for genuine play. If we find any of the following, we may cancel a bonus and any winnings it produced:

one person using multiple accounts to claim offers;
low-risk betting, for example betting on both sides of a wager, to clear wagering;
bets above the stake cap during bonus play;
using excluded games to meet wagering requirements;
false registration details or someone else's payment method.

Your own deposits stay yours. When we void a bonus, we keep any cash balance that is not linked to the abuse in your account.

D. Who can take part

Verified players aged 19 or above playing from Canada, where local law allows, can claim bonuses. Offers are not available if you have self-excluded, are in a cooling-off period, or your account is on hold under our Verification and AML checks.

In Ontario, we do not advertise incentives publicly. Ontario players can view the offer after registering and signing in.

E. A single bonus at once

You can hold just one bonus at once. The next offer kicks in after your active bonus is cleared, expires or gets cancelled.

F. Stake cap during bonus play

A maximum bet applies to each round, spin and hand whenever your balance holds bonus funds. Check the limit in your account, under bonus details. Stake more than that and we may void the bonus and what it won.

G. Expiry

Each bonus expires after a set time. Welcome offer bonus funds can be used for 7 days after they are credited. Once that period is over, any bonus money you have not used, along with winnings tied to it, is removed from your balance.

Net loss is worked out on your real money play inside that opening 24-hour window.

I. Opting in

We only credit a bonus once you agree to it. Opt in via the promotions area or the cashier before depositing or playing.

You can cancel a bonus in your account. This takes away the bonus money and any related winnings, while your cash balance is never affected.

J. Wagering and game types

Wagering is the total you need to stake using bonus funds before they become cash. The welcome offer has a 1x requirement, so you stake the bonus amount once. Every other bonus carries 50x wagering on the bonus amount, unless a particular offer's terms say otherwise.

Slots: eligible slots count toward wagering.
Excluded slots: around 50 slot titles do not count at all; the list is in your bonus details.
Table games: count at 8%.

Real money deposits carry no wagering.

K. Changes

We may revise these rules, or change or withdraw an offer, if legal requirements or our promotion plans change. A bonus that is already credited keeps the conditions that applied when you opted in. Send any questions to [email protected].
